Description:         Description:      
Launched to act as safety cover for a fishing vessel that had snagged a 2nd world war mine. Dorset Police Rib transferred EOD to area. A 2km safety zone was set up and ordinance detonated.
ILB was launching on exercise when Portland Coastguard gave an all station call to aid a 28' motor cruiser broken down and drifting 1' East of Weymouth Harbour. ILB's assistance was offered and accepted. Once on scene ILB passed tow and towed vessel into Weymouth where they were met by Wyke Coastguard mobile. ILB released and returned to station, refueled and made ready for service.
